| Wayne Rooney celebrating his 29th goal.(bbc.sport.co.uk) |
Sir Alex Ferguson’s side, last night clinched a three point move that cleared of log rivals Manchester City in the Premier League title race. The red devils managed to widen their position to comfort in the log standings after a 1-0 win over Fulham at Old Trafford.
The victory came after Wayne Rooney's goal just before the break to seal a win over the confident Fulham side. Fortunately for Man U, Rooney's 29th goal of the season will for some time keep Man City on its toes, struggling to get back on top of the league tables.
With the Fulham, Man U game, it was rather too obvious that the red devils were definitely going to trash Fulham seriously. It comes out as a disappointment though that Fergies's side failed to capitalize extremely on last night match. Most of the Man U fans were expecting two or more goals from the squad since the match, on the onset, appeared to be a work over for the Man Utd lads.
Meanwhile, Champions League: Apoel Nicosia ready for Real Madrid test.
It is the the first time a Cypriot team has reached the last eight of any European competition. In this regard, this upcoming match will be interesting to watch.
Soccer is a game were the unexpected is expected!
my bet goes to Apoel... i just wonder which trick Jose will play tonight??? all the same, i hope real madrid is humiliated
