Going overboard... A big stretch

trying to save whats difficult to save. (midwestsportfans.com)
Before doing anything meaningful online, i check my gmail, then facebook, twitter( at times) and then find out the latest regarding news, sports, economics and everything worth the while. Today something awkward happened to me and it was not amusing. An interesting head line caught my eye. After reading the story, to my disappointment, the headline was misleading. What and how i felt after the betrayal is something else.

It's grossly frustrating to find out -at the end unfortunately that what lured you to it turned out to be the exact opposite or not what you had not anticipated. It's such a let down. The headline to the story was: Chelsea primed for Africa campaign. The story went like this: Berekum Chelsea are confident their first appearance in Africa will be a success. The defending Ghana League champions will make their bow in the Africa Champions League on Sunday against Liberia's LISCR FC. Chelsea are travelling to Monrovia with a squad full on international experience and club president Emmanuel Kyeremeh is hopeful it will be a good debut.

“I believe in my team and will do everything humanly possible to see them get there,” he said.
Chelsea are second in the current Ghana league which resumes this weekend and will effectively to boost the country's image in Africa after a run of recent poor results.

The first thing that would pop up in anyones mind is that the headline means Chelsea Fc. Which will somehow link with the recent Afcon. The mind will daze around the assumptions that Chelsea will take an African campaign in order to boost up its squad by diluting the team with some raw African blood. However, none of that happened.

Kick off.com did a good job by at least luring the readership to the story -in not so good ways. All editors must remember is that there are two kinds of readers. The "readership" and the "readersheep".
